What Is the First Step in Digital Selling? Aragon Research Says It’s Sales Engagement Platforms

In a recent webinar, A Wake-Up Call for Sales & Marketing: Invest in a Sales Engagement Platform, Jim Lundy, CEO and Lead Analyst for Aragon Research, and Michael Schultz, VP, Marketing at ClearSlide, examined the reasons Sales Engagement Platforms are now at the forefront of the sales technology stack and are projected to become a $5 billion industry by 2021.
Lundy outlined the seven critical components of a Sales Engagement Platform, as well as the key steps to getting started with this technology. In addition, he explained how sales engagement platforms can help sales organizations to better manage the growing volume of sales content — from presentations to videos to demos — and help reps understand, through the use of analytics and insights, which content is most likely to engage buyers and drive sales effectiveness. “CRM is your system of record – but you need a system of engagement,” said Lundy.
